Yoda – older than you might think!

At least according to The British Library’s Medieval manuscripts blog.

From their book, Medieval Monsters, it looks as though the inspiration for Yoda might well have been a creature dressed in monks clothing. However we wouldn’t like to speculate on where George Lucas gets his ideas from, as new material will often never be entirely original – we have too much history!
